Melanie Samra was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. She loved design ever since seh was a child and went on to graduate with a Fine Arts Degree from Dawson College. After graduation, she moved to Toronto, Ontario where she enrolled and graduated from OCADU.(Ontario College of Art and Design University). Melanie started working as a freelance illustrator and quickly moved up to become a design director at Sunworthy Wallcoverings. After 7 years with the company, she opened her own studio called Samra Design Studio Inc.
